Recently, Hsin Chong Aster Building Services Limited, the Group’s Electrical and Mechanical Engineering specialist, began work on a new project – a commercial development located at 113-115 Argyle Street in Mong Kok. The building is owned by Hang Seng Bank, and consists of 30 storeys covering an overall floor area of 340,000 square feet.
Hsin Chong Aster was named as the project’s infrastructure main contractor, and will also be responsible for the interior renovation of the entire building. The construction work is planned to take approximately two years, with completion targeted for 2017.
“This development is a step forward for Hsin Chong Aster,” said Hsin Chong Aster Managing Director Joseph Fung. “Unlike our previous jobs, this contract involves both building services works and architectural works.”
The building services works include the installation of electrical, plumbing, draining, mechanical ventilation and air conditioning systems (MVAC), alongside fire services, lifts, and the setting up of a building management system (BMS).
Hsin Chong Aster ,with its sub-contractor, will also handle all interior fitting-out to match the client’s aesthetic and layout requirements, including floor renovation, partitioning of office space, waterproofing, designing acoustic barriers, and finishing walls, ceilings, floors, doors, metalwork, windows and more – all the way down to providing the building with the appropriate high-quality signage and decoration.
As some of the building’s units are still being used by the existing tenants, all works will be handled extremely carefully, to ensure that the tenants are safe and disturbed to a minimum. Noisy work will be carried out during non-office hours.
“All of our dedicated staff are working efficiently to fulfil the client’s wishes,” concluded Joseph Fung. “We are making great progress.”
